What You Can Do About Stress

Stress can be both be helpful and harmful:

-Positive Effects:
motivates us, gives us energy, prepares us to respond to danger

-Negative Effects:
serious illness, e.g., chronic fatigue, heart disease
weakens immunity

High Levels of stress can lead to many different side effects

-sleeplessness, stomach aches, nausea
-headaches, restlessness, heart disease, diarrhea or constipation
-ulcers, eating disorders, migraines, depression
-chronic fatigue, acne, rashes

There are many ways to manage stress:

- don't worry too much
- stay healthy
- do things to forget your stress for awhile
