Interest based Research Social Studies Note Taking


This is an assignment on inquiry based Social Studies note taking.

- Below is an example of how to take your notes today, while conducting research on your topic of choice.  If you do not have a topic picked, then you should complete this assignment here.

- All notes you take need to be printed onto a piece of paper using paper or pen.  You are not to print off the notes, but have the outline hand written. This will be an important part of the assignment. 

- Remember your final goal is to find information and create a paragraph.

- Be sure to include sources of information for your own notes you will need to create a bibliography. 

A) Topic Sentence:

Does Facebook have an influence on local and global culture?

B) Five different Google search queries that should help me find information about this topic:

Facebook culture values, Facebook Culture shock, Facebook cultural impact etc..... and don't forget to use the websites you found when we did the proposal!

Supporting Fact #1:

Facebook has changed how we communicate with others, so therefore it is slowly changing Atlantic Canadian and global culture.

Notes which support your fact: 

- Facebook allows you to microblog or frequently create small updates on what you're doing.  

-  These small updates while at first may seem insignificant, can over time communicate a clear understanding of how people act and their beliefs.
